Waiting
I seemed to have spent a lot of time this week waiting. Waiting for furniture, waiting for calls, waiting for various appointments, and for a girl as impatient as myself, that's a LOT of waiting...
The latest on the furniture? We're hoping end of next week. We were hanging out with the neighbours last night and one suggested organizing an air strike. LOL! Not a bad idea if it weren't for all my scrapbooks ;) Trying to maintain our sense of humour. Thank you for all the emails of support. It really has made a difference to have such a "virtual" support group of friends.
I've been working when I can (12 new products coming to the store this weekend) and heading up to the pool in the afternoons. The 100F heat is not phasing us at all. The novelty of the weather has yet to wear off.
I'm also trying to wade through the hundreds of photos I've taken since arriving here and arrange them in some sort of semblance of order. So much to document. Here's a start.
Supplies: Number 15 Layered Template by Ali Edwards, White Paper from Paraiso Azul Paperie and Tan Paper from MonoBlendz "Dunes" Paperie by me (coming to the store this weekend), Stamped Stitches by Katie Pertiet. (Stitching technique was inspired by DD Design Team Member, Crissy.)
I have a feeling I'll be relying on lots of templates over the next few weeks while I crank out some digital pages. You can see some more of my new layouts at the new Digital Scrapbooking Beta Website. The magazine listened and they've been hard at work creating some serious upgrades to the website. Exciting stuff to come. Check it out and please post your feedback!
Personal highlight of the week had to be last night's Skype call with the Barut family. We chatted, the children pulled faces at each other, Isabel and Ronalyn ate dinner, I made brownies, Ella and Isabel drew pictures, we cyber -shared grapes, we did a virtual tour of the new house, Isabel showed off her new teeth and we planned future scrapping sessions via Skype. It was just like we never left and was so NICE to be part of the Barut household again. Before we knew it 2 hours had passed. Can't wait to do it again. It really energized us all.
