I don't watch too many movies but I'm often creatively inspired by them. It can be anything from the fonts used in the credits, a billboard or a pattern on a fabric worn by an actress, but more often than not, it's something that is said. I sometimes struggle to put into words what I want to say and so movie lines will sometimes hit the nail on the head and put the words right into my mouth.
A few weeks ago, I was watching Step It Up 2: The Streets. I'm an avid fan of these kinds of movies. I only wish I could move like this. Although mesmerized by the moves it was actually a line that caught my attention and instantly became ingrained in my mind.
"Find your passion, then make it your own."
This has been on my mind lately and has certainly been impacting the direction of my designs, both professionally and personally.
