AnnaTeamer, Deb Rymer, shows you how to repurpose Anna’s fabulous templates to make other art.

In the first example, I repurposed a month divider template to make a calendar top. The original template is 12x12, but the calendar pages are 10x13.
Create New File in Desired Size. This calendar was printed via Apple’s iPhoto and so the new file was created according to their specifications – roughly 10x13.
Open Template. Open desired template. This example uses MonthDivider Layered Templates No 2, and specifically the April layout.
Select and Drag. Select all desired layers. Ensure that Auto-Select Layer is unchecked. Using the Move tool from the Tools palette, click on your layout and hold while dragging these layers to the new document you created in first step.
Original document with layers selected:
Since these files are different sizes and proportions, it will not fit exactly the same. Here’s how it looks after first dragging over the layers. Notice that all the layers are still selected. Keep them selected for the next step.
Resize. With all layers still selected, select Edit – Transform. Depending on the viewing size of your layout, you may not see the transform corners. Hit Control-0 (Command-0 on Mac) to see the entire selected area with transform box as shown below. While holding down the Shift key, grab one of the corners and drag your layers in/out to size the elements according to your final design.
Finalize Placement. Select the Move tool from the Tools palette and finalize the placement of the elements in the template. Tweak placement and size as desired. Here’s how this example ended up.
Use Template. Now you can use all your normal styles and techniques clipping papers and photos to the newly repurposed template.

In the second example, I repurposed a 12x12 layout into a 5x7 card:
Create New File in Desired Size. This card was designed to be printed by Shutterfly, so it is sized to their specification, roughly 5x7.
Open Template. Open desired template. This example uses 12x 12 MultiFoto Template Album No 2 – Page 8.
Select and Drag. Select all desired layers. Ensure that Auto-Select Layer is unchecked. Using the Move tool from the Tools palette, click on your layout and hold while dragging these layers to the new document you created in Step 1.
Here’s how this example looks after resizing the core template elements.
Modify Template. For this card, I wanted to make some other changes. I added a strip above the four photo masks to hold the title, repositioned the hipster plume, made a duplicate of the plume for the top left corner, added another row of stitching, changed the placement of the loop-da-loop, and changed the font and placement of the title. Here’s how it looked after the modifications.
Use Template. Now you can use all your normal styles and techniques clipping papers and photos to the newly repurposed template. Anna’s templates are so full of inspiration and “goodies,” the possibilities are truly endless! Let your imagination be your guide.
